Titre: Updating information with Elections Canada
Posté par: Mikkel Paulson le 31 juillet 2010, 07:39:03
Some of the information (http://www.elections.ca/content.asp?section=pol&document=index&dir=par&lang=e&textonly=false#ppc) that Elections Canada has on us is outdated, and the Party must pass a resolution (http://www.elections.ca/content.asp?section=pol&document=page10index&dir=pol/ec20229&lang=e&textonly=false) in order to update it. To that end, I propose the following motion, to be moved at the August 19, 2022 General Meeting:

Citation
Be it resolved that the following information regarding the Pirate Party of Canada shall be changed as set out below, effective immediately.

Short-form Name:Pirate Party (English version)
Parti Pirate (French version)
National Headquarters telephone:1-877-850-PPCA
National Headquarters web site:www.pirateparty.ca
Chief Agent telephone:1-877-850-PPCA ext. 001

A separate motion will be required to update the leadership information if that changes following the election, so there's nothing lost in moving this now rather than after the election results are in.

I would like to defer the motion until the end of the meeting, so that the election can be concluded first and foremost.

The election won't be taken at the meeting. The vote on my candidacy in Edmonton Centre will happen there, but the Directors election will still be in progress on the 19th.

Well, so long as the leader and officers are retroactively included in this motion, so that we can report that to EC.

Like I said, it has to be passed as a different motion. See here:
