Signing Up with Temporary E-Mail Addresses

Since I'm handling things in regards to new people who get hit with the spam filter I felt that I should share the following procedures which affect those who sign up with temporary email addresses.

The first is that using a temporary email address (like 10minutemail.com) is likely to get you tagged as a potential spammer. This means you will get put in the portion of the administrative section where I have to manually approve and require activation (have to click a link in email sent to the email address). I do this on a daily scale for all users who have been waiting for over a day. This is to explicitly stop the use of temporary email addresses since if you lose your account password there is no way to really recover your account.

That said if you do not wish to provide a primary email contact. I would reccomend using an alternate service which caters to the anonymous and pseudononymous to set up your email for party purposes at. I would encourage the use of either hushmail.com or piratemail.ca. As they are both pretty decent services.

At the end of the week (Fridays typically) I go through and delete all accounts still 'Awaiting Activation' then go through the procedure expressed above.
