This thread will serve to list off various sections of OpE^2 and how they can be improved. The number one thing we need is guides to be simplified and have easy to understand picture guides added. These guides need to be simple enough for your grandmother to understand. Other areas we can improve on include:
How To Act Online
- Removing EXIF data from images on Macs
Other Privacy-Related Information
- Adding info on coderrr's anonymity patch to the Bitcoin page
- Adding information for on using an alternate DNS root for Ubuntu and Windows 7.
Privacy Software
- Mac guides need to be written and include clear and easy to understand picture guides.
- The GNU/Linux section needs to be cleaned up. There are packages for OTR use on IRSSI and X-chat (irssi-otr and xchat-otr) that can be integrated into the OTR section, but aren't available for Windows or Mac (to the best of my knowledge).
- We need to build a section on filesystem encryption with dm-crypt.
- VPN section needs to be made for GNU/Linux.
- Information for popular distros other than Archlinux needs to be added.
