Je m'excuse de ne pas traducer ce post. Si vous souhaitez une traduction, envoyez-moi à [email protected]Hey all!
As you may know, Jake Daynes and Daniel LaSalle have each resigned their seats on the Federal Council, which leaves their two director seats open. Accordingly, a by-election is now open.
Nominations are open now.
Nominations must be in on or before Friday, January 7, 2022.
In order to run for Director, you must:
- Be a paying member
- Be 18 or older
- Live in Canada
To apply for a nomination, start a thread in this forum. The following template is suggested but not required:
NAME/NOM:
PARTY INVOLVEMENT / PARTICIPATION DE PARTI:
Detail any involvement you have had with the Party in the past. Please note that you must be an active member in order to apply, so "none" is not a valid answer.
POLITICAL EXPERIENCE / L'EXPÉRIENCE POLITIQUE:
If you've been involved with politics or political parties on any level (federal, provincial, municipal, or international), have studied political science, know somebody who knows somebody, or whatever, detail it here. It's not necessary to have a political background, but it helps.
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST / CONFLITS D'INTÉRÊTS:
Have you been involved with any organizations that might positively or negatively affect your ability to work on behalf of the Party? List the organizations, your involvement, and whether you're still active.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT / PARTICIPATION DE LA COMMUNAUTÉ:
How have you been involved in local community? Do you know a lot of people there who will be willing to help you with the Party? Does your background give you a pretty good feel for what sort of things your voters are looking for?
PLATFORM / MANIFESTE:
The Pirate Party of Canada's core values are copyright and patent reform, privacy, and open government. What do you think about these? What should the Party focus on?
PLEASE REPLY WITH "SECONDED" TO SECOND THIS APPLICATION. YOU MAY ALSO ASK QUESTIONS OF THE APPLICANT IN THIS THREAD.
Each nominee must be seconded (before the deadline) by one other eligible member in order to become eligible. Any member can second by saying so in a reply to the nomination post.
Members are encouraged to ask questions of candidates in their forum thread, or to make topics in this forum to ask or discuss with all candidates.
