Regular meetings are scheduled in Edmonton on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month at noon, to last roughly 2–3 hours.

This week, in lieu of a meeting, we'll be participating in the Edmonton Anarchist Bookfair! Come by our table from 11am to 6pm on Saturday or 12pm to 5pm on Sunday to help us hand out goodies or just to chat.

As it turns out I'm probably going to be in Edmonton on this date. If it turns out I am, I'll show up. Some plans for sleeping arrangements  are still being sorted out, so it's not for 100%. The Edmonton Anarchist Bookfair is that weekend too.

Awesome. We could go down and hand out some merch there. I'll contact them and see if it's too late…

Sounds like a plan. I was planning on going down there to network and buy some books too (quite an interesting collection for sale. You may want to bring cash), and know some people you may be interested in meeting. If it's too late to get a table, no one would have a problem with us going down and giving merch out, especially at no charge. Though if we do get a table by some magic, I've got a nice flag I can bring.

We have a table. In lieu of a formal meeting this week, let's just meet up there. I'll be there Saturday and Sunday all day.

Excellent. There are some things we should keep in mind though, such as not displaying a Canadian flag at the table and referring to ourselves as a protest party..

The Anarchist Bookfair in Calgary was great, probably one of the best experiences I had all summer. I wish that I could make it up for the one in Edmonton.

As Steve mentioned, though, anarchist's are against the idea of a political party, so its bit of a tough sell but nothing that one cannot be overcome.

Not too badly. We didn't sell much merch, but we gave out around 70 flyers and 30 or 40 bumper stickers, and registered a few new members. I'd say it was worth the trouble.

Very nice. The anarchist community in Alberta is pretty close nit, so any networking is great networking. Run into any problems?

A few people weren't too happy with a political party being there, but all in all, I found the crowd to be more receptive than many to whom I've pitched the party.
