This might sound like a detail, but I believe there should be a page distinct from the "Membership Signup Procedure" one for people to make donations to the party.

I wanted to make a contribution and it took me a few minutes of fiddling around to figure out how to do so and I eventually succeeded only because I really wanted to make a donation and because I remembered getting instructions on how to do so in the last monthly newsletter.

We should make it as easy as possible for people to give money to the party.  The current page doesn't need to be modified, but adding a new one explicitly for donations (which could be the same page with a different title and default selected item in the drop-down list) would make it more obvious for people who don't read every single word on web pages and just quickly peruse their way around the Internet (which, frankly, is the majority of individuals).

While on the subject of UI...  What's up with the main page stating that the party has 2076 members, but that it has only 638 out of the 1000 needed before membership cards are produced?

With a membership card in his wallet,

The PPCA orders these membership cards in bulk order - so they need 1,000 members to send another shipping order because its probably cheaper then requesting all membership cards (over 2,000) individually.

Not true. We print them on demand, and we have an initial order of 1000 cards minus the 600 that have already been sent. We send out a shipment of cards every few weeks as more members register.

Oh well, at least the hypothesis I had was reasonable Tongue

Yup. The “goal” is just a gimmick to make people feel like they're helping us to work toward something concrete. Well, they are, but it's a bit farther removed than 1000 paying members.
