http://www.dailymercury.com.au/story/2010/12/16/music-fees-have-gyms-jumping/

A bid by a leading industry recording group to increase the fees gyms pay for music by more than 1500 per cent will severely damage the fitness industry, says Mackay's City Fitness Health Club owner Steve Eden.
.....
City Fitness Health Club currently has about 25 group fitness classes per week and Eden estimates the increases could cost his business nearly $20,000.

Are they hurting for money? No they are not. There's no justification for adding or significantly increasing royalties…

1500% increase? $20,000 a year...

If I was that guy I'd tell them to goto hell and get some live entertainment in the form of a band or something to play stuff instead.

Comparable to the cost of a UFC fight for a large commercial bar.

The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.
