Hello again my friends and colleagues,
I am writing this to inform everybody of the current status of the PPCA, and ask for help from all our members.
Recently, we received information that our Non Profit Corporation request has been denied. Therefore, it is my pleasure to re-introduce our CTO, Stephane Bakhos as he steps up to take temporary position of Chief Agent for the PPCA, in order to access our funding and get us off the ground and registered with Elections Canada.
Furthermore, I have been in talks with some auditors, and the most recent quote, based on our current information, is that a yearly audit will cost $5,000 CAD. I therefore implore you all, if you are, or know of a Chartered Accountant that would be willing to help the cause, please contact me at [email protected]
Finally, we need people to enter the committee boards on the forums in order to help moving things along. I for one, refuse to allow this organization to fall apart, which is why I, along with others, have put in countless hours to help the PPCA succeed.
So I ask you, please, assist us in any way you can, be it a dollar donation, a design, telling your friends about us or a bit of your time.
Because no matter who you are in Canada, these issues will affect you.

Leader of the Pirate Party of Canada
Have you given any thought of having an audit review rather then a full audit.
Many non profit and charities use them as they cost from $400 to $2,000.
Half the cost of a full blowen audit.
Gregory,
Yes, unfortunately as a Political Party, we need an auditor for a full audit every year.
We should take a gander down to some local universities. With some decent campaigning, we should be able to get at least one accountant in training.
Unfortunately in order to perform an audit to GofC standards, you require a full chartered accountant. Best bet for finding one cheap is to get to know somebody at one of the big firms like MNP or D&T and see if they know somebody you can borrow.
